Inclusive Hearts Uganda (IHU) is a non‑profit establishedin 2022 with a core commitment to empowering youth, women, and persons with disabilities (PWDs). IHU champions social inclusion through training, mental health support, community advocacy, and enterprise and work readiness training for youth. We are championing social inclusion, youth and women empowerment, and disability advocacy in Uganda. IHU works in rural and peri-urban communities, providing training in leadership, soft skills, entrepreneurship, safeguarding, and mental health awareness. Our inclusive approach integrates cross-cutting themes such as gender equality, disability rights, trauma-informed facilitation, and culturally appropriate engagement.
Our expertise is in delivering training programs to hundreds of youthand women equipped with practical employability, leadership, and entrepreneurship skills. Conducting community engagement campaigns promoting disability awareness, acceptance, and advocacy change at local levels. We champion mental health initiatives, providing wellness education and trauma informed strategies tailored to specific emotional and psychosocial needs to women, young people and PWDs.
IHU is built around a multidisciplinary team of professionals who bringdiverse expertise across development sectors, training, disability inclusion, community empowerment, youth empowerment, finance and budgeting. This diversity enables IHU to deliver holistic and context-sensitive training programs thatreflect the real-world challenges faced by Uganda’s youth and marginalized populations.
