Who We Are
Inclusive Hearts Uganda exists to transform how development works for marginalized communities by shifting them from passive beneficiaries to active participants in inclusive markets and sustainable economies.
Across Uganda, women, youth, and persons with disabilities continue to face systemic barriers that limit their participation in productive sectors such as agriculture, enterprise, and trade. These barriers include limited access to finance, weak market linkages, low enterprise capacity, and exclusion from decision-making spaces.
Inclusive Hearts Uganda was established to address these gaps through practical, market-driven, and inclusive solutions.
OUR VISION
Growing inclusive futures through agribusiness and enterprise excellence
MISION
To empower marginalized communities through inclusive agribusiness, smart farming, and enterprise development
Our Purpose
We are driven by a single purpose:
To build resilient, inclusive livelihoods by connecting underserved communities to markets, finance, and enterprise opportunities. Rather than focusing only on support services, we design interventions that enable communities to generate income, build assets, and sustain growth independently.
Advocating for
Inclusivity
We advocate for communities where women and persons with disabilities are not beneficiaries, but equal decision-makers and economic actors. We challenge stigma, remove participation barriers, and demand accessible opportunities in livelihoods, leadership, and markets.
Our Core Strengths
• Supporting smallholder farmers and rural entrepreneurs to transition into profitable agribusinesses.
• Value chain development and market linkage facilitation.
• Enterprise incubation for PWDs, youth and women-led agri-enterprises.
• Climate-smart and nutrition-sensitive production models (e.g., smart kitchen farming).
• Formation and strengthening of farmer groups, VSLAs, and cooperatives.
• Governance, leadership, and accountability systems development.
• Business planning and collective marketing strategies.
• Institutional capacity building for sustainable enterprises and Organizations.
• Business skills development (enterprise management, costing, pricing, record-keeping).
• Financial literacy, savings mobilization, and investment readiness.
• Linking communities to markets, financial services, credit, and inclusive finance models.
• Supporting growth of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Our Approach
Our approach is rooted in the belief that economic inclusion is the foundation of sustainable development.
- We work through integrated pathways that combine:
- Agribusiness development to turn farming into profitable enterprises.
- Enterprise incubation and business development services (BDS) to strengthen MSMEs
- Market systems strengthening to ensure reliable access to buyers and value chains
- Partnership-driven implementation – working with government, private sector, and development partners.
- Financial inclusion and climate finance to improve resilience and investment capacity
This integrated model ensures that communities are not only trained, but also connected, financed, and sustained within functional economic systems.
