Who We Are

Inclusive Hearts Uganda (IHU) advances inclusive economic empowerment, enterprise development, resilient livelihoods and social transformation. We work with development partners, government institutions, private sector organizations, cooperatives, farmer organizations, women, youth, persons with disabilities and rural enterprises to strengthen business performance, improve market competitiveness, expand financial inclusion and create sustainable livelihood opportunities.

We deliver practical, evidence-based solutions that connect enterprise development, agribusiness, finance, markets and digital inclusion. Gender equality, youth empowerment, disability inclusion and climate resilience are built into every programme, and we design inclusive solutions that leave no one behind.

We are intentional about inclusion. Women, youth and persons with disabilities are part of every IHU programme, from design to delivery.

OUR VISION

Building inclusive and resilient communities where women, youth, and persons with disabilities thrive through sustainable enterprise and agribusiness.

MISION

To empower women, youth, and persons with disabilities through inclusive enterprise development, sustainable agribusiness, skills enhancement, and strategic partnerships that create economic opportunities, strengthen resilience, and improve livelihoods.

Our Purpose

We are driven by a single purpose:

To build resilient, inclusive livelihoods by connecting underserved communities to markets, finance, and enterprise opportunities. Rather than focusing only on support services, we design interventions that enable communities to generate income, build assets, and sustain growth independently.

Advocating for

Inclusivity

We advocate for communities where women and persons with disabilities are not beneficiaries, but equal decision-makers and economic actors. We challenge stigma, remove participation barriers, and demand accessible opportunities in livelihoods, leadership, and markets.

• Formation and strengthening of farmer groups, VSLAs, and cooperatives.
• Governance, leadership, and accountability systems development.
• Business planning and collective marketing strategies.
• Institutional capacity building for sustainable enterprises and Organizations.

• Business skills development (enterprise management, costing, pricing, record-keeping).

• Linking communities to markets, financial services, credit, and inclusive finance models.
• Supporting growth of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

Our Approach

Our approach is rooted in the belief that economic inclusion is the foundation of sustainable development.

This integrated model ensures that communities are not only trained, but also connected, financed, and sustained within functional economic systems.
